Why use LANsurfer ?

Using the LANsurfer system will simplify the booking for a party. Everything from booking a place to choosing a seat can be done online.

Log-on

Logically, we're going to start with the first step. Normally you must answer those equal annoying questions (name, address, age, etc.) again and again and have to invent and remember a thousand passwords. Unfortunately there is one more password to remember, but that is the last one for sure. Once you have entered your data on the LANsurfer page or entered your data on one of the parties supporting LANsurfer, you can join every LANsurfer party with the click of a mouse - simple enough? The party automatically gets the necessary information copied into its database and you are immediately added to the guest list. This leads us to the next point…

Actuality

As every LANsurfer party uses the same system, the actuality of the information is outstanding. As soon as someone joins a party, the counter on the LANsurfer main page updates itself and you immediately know the current status of a party and if it's time to join yourself. However, LANsurfer not only consists of a fast log-on system, we also always have the latest news. As soon as an affiliated party announces something on their page, you can also read it on our page.
LANsurfer - more up to date is impossible.

Can I also contribute something myself?

That's no problem. If you think there is an interesting news item that was not yet posted, you can submit it yourself and it immediately appears on the LANsurfer page. Whenever you write a review, take photos, or shoot a small movie, follow the same procedure: simply post the URL in one of the submit forms and your work is accessible to everyone else.

LANgroups

During the sign-up process of LANsurfer you can join a so called LANgroup. This can be your clan, all of your friends, a local group, a city or whatever. As soon as you log-on to LANsurfer you can see which your groupmates have decided which party to go to, with a simple click. Furthermore you can check if there is still a place left and book one yourself - you know how? - just click ;) On the other hand you can inform all members of your LANgroup via e-mail of parties you are attending.

Lanmanager

The LANmanager helps you to keep track on all the lan parties you are going to be and when they take place. If desired LANsurfer looks up parties taking place on weekends where you still have nowhere to go. Naturally you can sort the output concerning price, size, distance or whatever.
No more excuses like "Party this weekend? I didn't know..."

Your system will help @ the party, won't it?

Absolutely. No more standing around at the entrance - just tell the admins your e-mail address and you are registered as present. No anonymous numbers, extra cards or whatever ... Afterwards you can directly log-on to the intranet system and register yourself for the tourneys using simple mouse clicks. Thanks to REALMS, the real easy automatic lanparty management system of LANsurfer, there are no delays or paperwork - furthermore everyone gets a second chance, due to the double elimination system. Playing in groups, pre-qualifier, single/double elimination and adding seeded players is no longer a problem. No longer the need to run to an admin - just enter the results yourself or upload screenshots, demos or a comment. As all LANsurfer tourneys use the same system, the winners are automatically listed on the LANsurfer top player rankings and qualify themselves for the large LANsurfer playoffs, which will probably take place once a year.

After an outstanding party, do you still have something to offer?

For sure ... Following a party is always a review. Now most of you will think: "Hmm I hate writing articles" - join to the club ;). Therefore everyone who went to a party and only the ones who really did, can rate the party on the LANsurfer page. The rating form covers many aspects of the party and follows the rating system from school. The results are automatically calculated and can be found on the lanparty top ten page.

Is there something for the totally crazy people? :)

Exactly for those of you we have party eXtreme. Here you can find the eXtremes of the lanparty scene sorted concerning several aspects eg. longest party, largest party, longest tournament, party with the most frags( per hour), the cheapest price or every other column you can think of and add, because you decide what to display.

A short summary:

LANsurfer offers you everything to make your lan party attendence as comfortable and easy as possible and give you the most working features you can get. If you ever want to make a party yourself, I recommend the admin info section, which makes appropriate packages available. I've almost certainly forgotten some of the features, but that's no problem - just look around for them yourself ;)
