Why use LANsurfer ?

With the modules of LANsurfer it will become very easy for you to organize your own lanparty. From the web appearance, registration, booking in players at the event, organizing tournaments of any kind, to the analysis of guests opinions after the party.

What are the modules in detail?

REALMS The lan party management system. Tournaments of the party are handled by this system completely using the intranet page of the party, on which each guest has constant access. The system permits the complete planning of the tournaments, well before the actual party. Different groups can be created with different tournaments. From these groups each guest can choose one tourney, so no timing problems can occur. The scheduling is done completely by the system, only the end times need to be input. The parameters which can be selected are:
- Number of participants (max number of players)
- Minutes per game (duration of a game)
- Games per round (number of games per round)
- Break per round (break between rounds)
- Rounds with double time (for large starting player quantities)
- Hard rules (If a game exceeds a time limit a player is randomly drawn as the winner)
- Double elimination (lose twice and they're out)

Also available is a league system, single/double elimination and the possibility to add seeded players. Everything can be combined, the way you like it.

Posting news

Using the intelligent user database, anybody you assign the newsposting right can create a news item on your party page, without knowledge of HTML. Simply type text into a text window and you're done. Furthermore, the news item automatically appears on the LANsurfer main site if you enable a small check box. Everyone will know what's happening.

LANsurfer provides you with a standard web site, including the following features: - News system - Registration (waiting list / guest list) - Seat plan - Forum The site can be completely changed graphically and content wise by you, or you integrate the desired features simply into your existing site.

A complete Forum is available, naturally also adaptable in design.

Registration

Situated here is a further strength of the LANsurfer system. A user, once registered with LANsurfer, can log-on to your party simply making some mouse-clicks. His data of registration is automatically added to your database. On the other hand, you can get a LANsurfer account on your web page, sharing the same advantages, making it possible to easily register for your next party or any other LANsurfer party. Check-in at the start of the party is also reduced to a minimum amount of work. The guest simply gives his e-mail address, you click a checkbox and the user is marked as present. No more annoying paperwork or complex card systems.

Are there further advantages?

Reviews Do you want to know the exact opinion of your guests, and be able to improve using this results ? LANsurfer offers you this possibility. After the party, your guests can rate it on several aspects, only once - the current results are always displayed. The best parties appear in the party top-ten of LANsurfer parties and may win a prize at the end of the year ;)

All parties using the LANsurfer system can automatically add their banner to the banner rotation on the main site and additionally in the intranet if wished. This service is free of charge, like everything else on LANsurfer.

Global newspage

The main page always show the list of current parties, including the real time status of booking, so annoying mails like "we already have xy registered guests" are omitted and your guests always know what's going on. In addition you can submit news for your party, just making a click on your page. LANsurfer always up to date ...

Beyond that, so far complex processes (posting news, party registration/lists, tournaments) are reduced to simple point&click actions.
